Inspirations
Most all of my inspiration comes from some sort of aspect of nature. Last year I worked on a concentration that involved nature and the outside forces that are continually growing and taking it over. Nature is something I can relate to because I have always enjoyed it and the overall process of nature infatuates me. Here are some photos that have recently inspired me.

Music and Art
These are two things that go hand in hand with one another in my opinion. Whenever I am brainstorming or creating works I have to have music playing. Most music I listen to do in order to be inspired is indie or instrumentals. These allow for my creative juices to get flowing and produce the best pieces I possibly can.

The Creation of the Camera
My best friend, Austin, is an avid photographer and I wanted to make him something that commemorated his talent. As a Christmas gift I made him this camera and etched in the crest of Apollo, the god of poetry, music, and photography. I created this piece using slabs in order to keep the inside hollow and made the top removable in order for it to be used as a box.

Bust of an Egyptian
This project was extremely difficult for me. Not only have a never created a bust but I have a hard time making faces that look realistic. Thankfully the Egyptians had the same problem of realistic features so I kind of had an upper hand to make my piece look authentic. Making this piece even throughout, all while trying to keep it hollow and stable enough to stand was a struggle and a half for me. I am not completely pleased with how it turned out but I can definitely say that it was a huge learning experience for me.

Inspiration: Hedi Xandt
My favorite artist is currently Hedi Xandt. As a Norwegian native, his work is very inspiring and I wish I could have a technique like he does. His work is somewhat dark but he has amazing concepts on mixing hard and soft and achieving beautiful works. His technique is impeccable and I sometimes wonder how he can possible create the works that he does.
Here are some of his works
